Glaze Chip Sample Set
Our team hand mixes all our glazes in-house using raw materials mined from the earth. Each individual tile is hand-dipped into a bath of glaze by our artisans.
This chip set is a starting point for your reference. Once you have narrowed down your glaze choice, we recommend ordering a Glaze Range Sample of any colors you’re considering. Glaze Range Samples contain three tiles showing a thin, medium and thick application of the glaze. They paint a better picture of the variation that can occur within each glaze. Please keep in mind, every Motawi project is one-of-a-kind, with beautiful variation throughout.
As our materials are sourced from the earth, we expect their appearance to change from time to time. The chemical composition of any given ingredient could vary from batch to batch, affecting the overall look and color of the glazes. This variation is what we find most beautiful about each Motawi project.
Before placing your project order, please make sure you’ve seen the most current rendition of the glaze, as we require you to submit a signed Glaze Range Approval form before we begin production on your order.
Easel Info
Easels are an elegant option for art tile display. Fabricated from powder-coated steel, our easels are locally made and feature durable single-piece construction.
- Medium easel: holds any unframed tile larger than 3 inches (recommended for most of our tiles if unframed).
- Large easel: holds any framed tile or any unframed tile larger than 4 inches.
- Small easel: holds 3 and 4-inch tiles (unframed).
Frame Info
Our quarter-sawn oak frames, handmade by Dard Hunter Studios, are available with a natural Oak or Ebony finish. They can hang horizontally or vertically, or perch on our large easels. Frame features include mitered corners and stapled joints.
- Frame width is 2".
- Any framed tile can pair with our large easel.
