Our Values
Motawi Tileworks is not your typical employer. We are dedicated to demonstrating that a human-centered business can be outstandingly successful. Owner and Artistic Director Nawal Motawi cares about and shares profits with her staff of 40+ employees (read more about them below). These carefully chosen and highly competent employees take care of each other, the company, and our customers.
There are a wide variety of jobs at Motawi. These include glaze mixing, clay pressing and finishing, tile painting, kiln firing, design, marketing, website maintenance and management, to name a few. We offer competitive benefits and a serious — yet joyful! — work environment, embracing an intentional culture of humor, positivity, transparency and continuous improvement. We understand the need to take occasional time during business hours to care for loved ones. We don’t expect employees to engage with work email during weekends and vacations. Our goal is to work in a manner that is both profitable and sustainable.
We hire humble, hungry and smart. We seek people who work hard, have a sense of humor and are willing to learn our processes.
