Workshop participants will receive step-by-step instruction in Motawi's signature bulb-glazing process. We'll provide two bisque (unglazed) tiles, bulbs filled with our rich glaze colors, and a suggested glazing guide. Follow our recommendations or unleash your creativity and create your own unique colorways!
During the Saturday, January 16 workshop, participants will glaze one 6x6 Ovation tile in their choice of two exclusive workshop colorways.
Please Note
- After checkout, you will receive an order confirmation email. This serves as your workshop ticket.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, we require at least 7 days' notice to issue a refund.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry, no children under 12.
- Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little messy. We'll provide aprons, tools, all workshop supplies, and a bottle of water for each participant. Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
- This workshop involves detailed glazing work. If you use reading glasses, you'll likely want to bring them along!
- After glazing, your tiles will be kiln-fired, and we'll email you as soon as they're ready for pickup.
- If you'd prefer to have your finished tiles shipped, we'll collect shipping payment on the day of the workshop and mail them to you once they're ready.
Easel Info
Easels are an elegant option for art tile display. Fabricated from powder-coated steel, our easels are locally made and feature durable single-piece construction.
- Medium easel: holds any unframed tile larger than 3 inches (recommended for most of our tiles if unframed).
- Large easel: holds any framed tile or any unframed tile larger than 4 inches.
- Small easel: holds 3 and 4-inch tiles (unframed).
Frame Info
Our quarter-sawn oak frames, handmade by Dard Hunter Studios, are available with a natural Oak or Ebony finish. They can hang horizontally or vertically, or perch on our large easels. Frame features include mitered corners and stapled joints.
- Frame width is 2".
- Any framed tile can pair with our large easel.
- Note: Frame woodgrain and stain opacity varies.
