Motawi in Robb Report: A Real Frank Lloyd Wright Connection

Robb Report recently rounded up three Frank Lloyd Wright homes currently for sale, and one of them has a genuine tie to us.

The Rollin and Elizabeth Furbeck House, built in 1897 in Oak Park, Illinois' Frank Lloyd Wright Historic District, was one of Wright's earliest and most pivotal residential designs — a first glimpse of the Prairie style that would define his career. A 2001 renovation of the home's kitchen and family room, featured on HGTV's New Spaces, incorporated Motawi tile alongside leaded-glass cabinets and oak detailing, "add[ing] modern function with period sensitivity."

Update: the home has since sold — it closed on July 18, 2025, for $1.8 million, ending the Abrahamson family's 27-year stewardship of the property.

It's the kind of pairing we love seeing: our tile alongside an actual, unimpeachable Frank Lloyd Wright residence, in the neighborhood most associated with his early work.
