Believing the architect should create total environments, Frank Lloyd Wright's designs included art glass windows, furniture, and lighting. This tile is adapted from Wright's art glass design in one of three vestibule ceiling light fixtures in the Frank Thomas House. Build in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1901, the Thomas House holds some of Wright's most intricate leaded art glass.
Actual tile size: 5-13/16" square
Our tile frames are made by Dard Hunter Studios, founded by early Roycrofter Dard Hunter and run by his grandson, Dard Hunter III.
The 3-inch oak Legacy beveled frame is available in Craftsman Oak finish only and is 11-1/2" square.
The 2-inch Oak Park flat frame is also made of oak and comes in Craftsman Oak or Ebony finish. Its finished size is 9-1/2" square. (The Oak Park is the only frame style approved by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation for the tile in our Frank Lloyd Wright Collection (R).)
Note: Legacy frames are available with dividers for framing multiple pieces. Oak Park frames are available with multiple openings by special order.
