Motawi Tileworks' First Installation

Not long after she began selling her tiles at the Farmers Market, Nawal was approached by customer who commissioned her to design a fireplace for the customer’s home in Ann Arbor. It would turn out to be the first of hundreds of installation design projects that Motawi Tileworks has done over the past 27 years (in addition to the thousands of projects that have featured individual Motawi tiles).
