This is a temporary, non-benefits-eligible position expected to run from mid-June through mid-September 2026. Hours may vary week to week depending on what’s happening in the Gallery. We can offer scheduling flexibility, but you must be available to work Saturdays consistently. Pay is $18.00 per hour. What You’ll Do
- Welcome every visitor—online or in person—with warmth and genuine enthusiasm.
- Help customers learn about our tile, select designs, and complete purchases.
- Field calls, respond to emails, and handle shipping or special requests.
- Process in-person orders, refunds, and exchanges using our e-commerce system.
- Keep our Gallery and Boneyard looking beautiful, well organized and fully stocked.
- Maintain and organize multiple storage areas.
- Assist with onsite special projects, workshops, donations, and events.
- Jump in wherever you’re needed—because that’s how we roll at Motawi!
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A detail-loving, people-centered problem solver with at least 1 year of retail experience.
- Someone who’s self-motivated, upbeat, and great at managing time.
- Comfortable using POS software, Microsoft Office and navigating the internet for customer service and sales.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Squarespace and QuickBooks is a big plus.
- Bonus points if you have a good eye for design and love art and handmade things!
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain in a seated or standing position for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to move, lift, or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Frequent performance of repetitive physical tasks involving the use of hands, arms, legs, and full body movement.
- Ability to navigate a dynamic work environment that may involve bending, reaching, walking, or standing for extended periods.
