Tour the Tileworks
Note about our building: We love showing the public what we do, but it's important to note that we run kilns. Lots of them. And they're really hot. It's impossible for us to climate control most of our production facility. In the spring, summer and fall when it's even slightly warm outside, the temperature inside the Tileworks is much, much higher. If you are sensitive to high temperatures, we recommend you use caution while on our tour. This is a walking tour that lasts over an hour, and due to safety concerns, we are unable to provide seating throughout the factory. While we will take all the measures possible to make the tour pleasant for our customers, we suggest that you arrive hydrated and in cool, comfortable clothing so you may enjoy the tour.
Every Tuesday at 1pm and Thursday at 11am, rain or shine, we offer a free tour of the Tileworks. You can browse our studio gallery, meet our staff, learn about our company history, and observe our tile-making process firsthand. Tours typically last 60-90 minutes and are best for ages 8 to adult. Reservations are not required, however please call ahead if your party consists of 10 or more.
Private Tours: If you are unable to make it to one of our free public tours, private tours are available. Private tours are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 10am and 3pm. The fee is $200 for up to 25 people. Private tours can include a private Make-a-Tile event for a $375 fee. To make a reservation, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (734) 213-0017.
Every Saturday at noon and at 3pm, we offer a free docent-led factory walk-through of the Tileworks. Walk-throughs typically last approximately 20 minutes.
