Installation Designer Gregg Perez works with clients to turn their visions into Motawi installations for homes and public spaces. Gregg has an extensive background in architecture, accumulated during years at Novak Engineering, the University of Michigan and the Department of Justice. Gregg has maintained an art studio in his Tecumseh home for the past 20 years, working in woodcut and linocut printmaking. He also founded Quiet Heron Studio, a ceramics studio in Dexter, with his girlfriend in 2018. Additionally, Gregg taught printmaking, drawing, painting and sculpture at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for five years.
Gregg has a B.S. in industrial design (art minor) from Western Michigan University. He is an avid outdoor recreationalist and enjoys cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, backpacking, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, fly fishing and frequent visits to national parks. He is a dog lover, an avid birder and caretaker of 19 free range egg layer chickens.
