Description

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is recognized worldwide as one of the greatest architects of the twentieth century.
Wright created spaces for living and applied his design expertise to everyday objects within those spaces. He skillfully harmonized relationships between his architectural designs and their interwoven elements, often adapting motifs that echo patterns taken from nature or the geometry of his buildings. The Dana-Thomas House lamp art glass design that this tile is based upon typifies Wright’s adroit coupling of these elements. The geometric abstract pattern of the lamp’s art glass incorporates nature’s autumnal colors. When lit, the room is filled with a warm glow.
