Motawi People

Nawal Motawi, Founder.  Nawal is the artistic vision behind the Tileworks and also spends time on business strategy and processes. She readily admits to being an avid squeezebox player and folk dancer. Nawal is married and has one child, a boy named Kitson.

 

 

 

 

 

Colleen Crawley is our in-house Installation Designer.  She joined the Tileworks in 2000, following a successful career in interior architecture.  She is responsible for our installation designs, including fireplaces, kitchens and commercial projects, and is our main link to the design community.  Colleen is married and has a teenage daughter; she loves to travel and enjoys big cities as well as the great outdoors.

 

 

Halla Motawi joined the team in 2001 and quickly jumped into the accounting, human resources, graphic design and data systems roles. She is involved in many community service activities and has serious acting and music-making habits.

 

 

 

 

 

Celibeth Donnelly, Production Coordinator. Celibeth is part of the Production Management team and liaison to the talented individuals who comprise the branches of the Motawi Studio.  Celibeth wanders out of the country every chance she gets and enjoys many different styles of spicy food!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thomas Gelsanliter, Production Coordinator. Thomas is involved in formulating and carrying out the plan of the day. He also works in the Moldmaking Department and serves on Motawi's Design Committee. He recently welcomed his second daughter to his family. Thomas enjoys platform tennis and card playing in his spare time.

 

 

 

 

David Weber, Joined Motawi Tile Works in 2007. He is a Department coordinator and a lean manufacturing enthusiast. He enjoys Ironman Triathlon training, wood working and computer programming in his spare time. David and his wife welcomed their first baby last year.
